NOSTALGIA: ILOG

For this week’s Nostalgia, I would like to feature ILOG, I miss going to  Ilog when we wanted to wash clothes or just go there with food, drink and eat using our hands. Every time I think of our simple life, long time ago, it always makes me miss my home. I might be here in America for 15 years, but my heart is still in the Philippines. I might have everything that I want and need now , but I am still missing my simple life when material things were scarce. I used to dislike my being poor, but come to think of it, it’s part of my life that I will always cherish. It’s not that I am rich now. Hehehe!

Scan10 Our Ilog is close to our house, and there were times that we just walked carrying all our earthly belongings, and sometimes, we took tricycle. This pictures was taken 1988 with my sister Kim, cousins and my aunt’s husband (RIP) Life was so simple and yet happy and contented. When Facebook wasn’t around yet, nor Blogging was not the trend.

My share for NOSTALGIA this week.

It's really a good thought, Liz… thinking that your past in Philippines is a part of your life that you'll always cherish now.http://www.womenandperspectives.com/2010/08/nostalgia-graduation-day.html
