NOSTALGIA: My Dad

My parents and I

It’s been 6 years since my father had passed away. But, in my mind, I can still see him alive, strong, humorous and playing guitar while singing his favorite “Welcome Balikbayan” by Yoyoy Villame.

I am not sure if I already feautred my dad in my last posts on here, but I just kind of miss him lately that’s why I thought to feature him again today.

The picture above was taken in 2000. 10 years ago I still had a dad, who would’ve thought that 4 years later after this picture, he would be gone. Life is too short, and you can never tell who’s going to be gone and when.

Those who still have parents, treasure them while they’re here, show them how much you love them, and enjoy every minute of your time with them, when they leave, they can never come back. :(

I was very close to my dad when I was young, I rode motorcycle with him and I was his little helper, now he’s gone and he wasn’t able to live with us here, he would’ve enjoyed our home here in Alabama. I wished he’s still around.

Happy Nostalgia to all!

My dad passed away last 2007, and just like you,I’m also closer to him. Napanaginipan ko nga sila ng nanay ko few nights ago, so far masaya sila sa panaginip ko,so I assumed na masaya na nga sila ngayon.

OO nga Mommy Willa, nakaka miss, lalo ang bait ng tatay ko, kuripot nga lang, saka we’re very close talaga noong bata pa ako. Minsan nga feeling ko, nandyan lang siya sa tabi tabi. thanks for the comment ha.

it seems we shared almost the same experience. My dad passed away 10 years ago and I was very close to him. He was good in playing the guitar, too, and he even gave me his acoustic guitar that is still with me until now. I love my dad and I missed him terribly… but I know he’s happy where he is right now…

My father passed away when I was 9 years old–konti lang ang naaalala kong memories with him but what I always remember was a happy bonding of us sa sabungan(mahilig sa sabong ang Papa ko)^_^ Kaka-miss!

Awwww…. I never had good memories with my father.. although he’s still alive, we seldom see each other because we grew up not close to them.. good for you mommy Liz… dropping by for Nostalgia.

  6. It’s my mother who has passed away. Same with you, I still often miss her.

Let’s pray a lot for them.
